Amit has dedicated more than 15 years of his career to various leadership positions across Vertex, including establishing our first international commercial function in 2010. He joined the company in 2007, and he leads our efforts to build and strengthen relationships with patient communities globally across the diseases Vertex is pursuing.
He earned a B.S. from Carnegie Mellon University and a J.D. from Emory University. Prior to Vertex he held roles with the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the U.S. House of Representatives. He currently serves on the board of directors of Eiger BioPharmaceuticals.
