Vertex Guidance and Patient Support Program
We understand that medicines can only help patients who can get them. Our comprehensive patient support program known as Vertex Guidance & Patient Support (Vertex GPS™) helps eligible patients who have been prescribed SYMDEKO™ (tezacaftor/ivacaftor and ivacaftor), ORKAMBI® (lumacaftor/ivacaftor) or KALYDECO® (ivacaftor), access their medication and help them stay on track with treatment.
The Vertex GPS™ program consists of Case Managers who are trained to provide patients and their caregivers with ongoing product support and helpful educational material throughout their treatment.

Understanding Insurance Benefits
Our Case Managers help eligible patients who have been prescribed SYMDEKO™ (tezacaftor/ivacaftor and ivacaftor), ORKAMBI® (lumacaftor/ivacaftor) or KALYDECO® (ivacaftor) review their health plan coverage and requirements. They can also communicate this information to patients’ healthcare providers, including information about prior authorization requirements and forms needed by the patients' health insurance plan.
Vertex offers financial assistance to patients who meet certain eligibility criteria. As part of the services that our Case Managers provide to patients, they will review out-of-pocket costs and provide information about any available financial assistance programs.
Continued Support and Education
On an ongoing basis, Case Managers can provide patients with refill reminders, and work with their specialty pharmacy and healthcare providers to help patients stay on track. Additionally, Case Managers work with patients to answer questions about our medicines and provide resources that support both their treatment and daily routine.
