Vertex CF Community & Grant Programs
Every day, people living with cystic fibrosis (CF) strive to live their best life. From exercise, to education, to the management of their day-to-day care, people with CF and their loved ones embrace the adversity they face and meet challenges head-on.
Our commitment to the CF community goes beyond our research and medicines. As people with CF live longer, they face new challenges. We established programs that help people with CF live active lives, help CF families pursue higher education, and provide resources enabling non-profit organizations to develop new programs for people with CF. Our grant programs support independent investigator-initiated research and the next generation of cystic fibrosis researchers.
For People with CF and their Family Members
The Vertex Foundation Scholarship helps people with CF and their immediate family members pursue two-year, four-year or graduate degrees. During the 2019-2020 academic year, the Vertex Foundation awarded 87 scholarships of $5,000 each to recipients in the U.S. and Canada.
Vertex’s sponsorship of Team IMPACT helps match courageous kids living with rare diseases, such as CF, as honorary, active members of college athletic teams.
