A support system for all

The Vertex  Foundation partners with organizations to provide temporary support to patients and families by addressing the impacts of living with a serious illness and increasing access to wraparound services including:

  • Mental health services and support
  • Convenient housing and access to nutritious food
  • Programs that improve quality of life for families with children living with serious diseases

Funding the future

The Vertex Foundation Scholarship helps people with cystic fibrosis (CF) and their families (siblings, caregivers and children) pursue two-year, three-year, four-year or graduate degrees by offsetting some of the cost of attending college or graduate school.

Scholarship Information

The Vertex Foundation awarded 88 scholarships for the 2022-2023 school year, changing the lives of those students and enabling them to take their education and lives further.

Eligibility

The scholarship is open to all legal residents of the U.S. or Canada who are full-time or part-time students in good academic standing at an accredited institution. Applicants must have been diagnosed with CF or be an immediate family member of someone diagnosed with CF. All selected recipients will receive an award of $5,000 USD/CAD.

Applications for the 2025-2026 school year will become available in Winter 2025.
