The prices below are the Average Wholesale Prices (“AWP”) as established and made available to the public by a third party publisher or as calculated from data made available to the public by a third party publisher. The price paid by consumers may be higher or lower than the prices listed below. Information about the AWP of these drugs is being provided to Vermont prescribers pursuant to Vermont law, to give you information about the relative prices of marketed drugs and other drugs in the same therapeutic class.
The prices listed here do not necessarily reflect price per dosage, price per course of treatment or the cost effectiveness, of all products listed. For simplicity, only the smallest package sizes available for each product are included.
Both INCIVEK and VICTRELIS must be used in combination with peginterferon alfa and ribavirin.
The recommended dose of INCIVEK™ (telaprevir) tablets is 750 mg (two 375-mg tablets) 3 times a day. The duration of treatment with INCIVEK is 12 weeks in combination with peginterferon alfa and ribavirin followed by an additional 12 or 36 weeks of peginterferon alfa and ribavirin based on prior treatment history and treatment response. The recommended dose of VICTRELIS™ (boceprevir) capsules is 800 mg (four 200-mg capsules) three times daily. Patients initiate with peginterferon alfa and ribavirin for 4 weeks followed by VICTRELIS in combination with peginterferon alfa and ribavirin for an additional 24, 32 or 44 weeks based on prior treatment history and treatment response. For some patients, VICTRELIS will be stopped after 32 weeks of triple therapy and patients will continue on peginterferon alfa and ribavirin alone for 12 weeks beyond that.
