Eric K. Brandt

Mr. Brandt has been a member of our Board of Directors since 2003. Mr. Brandt is currently Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Broadcom Corporation, a global leader in the communications semiconductor field. Prior to joining Broadcom Corporation, Mr. Brandt served as the Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of Avanir Pharmaceuticals from 2005 to 2007. From 1999 to 2005, Mr. Brandt held various positions at Allergan Inc., including Chief Financial Officer. During his tenure, Allergan’s sales grew to more than $2 billion, and at Allergan Mr. Brandt was twice named as one of the “Best CFOs in America” in surveys conducted by Institutional Investor magazine.

Prior to Allergan, he held various positions with the Boston Consulting Group, most recently serving as Vice President and Partner, and as a senior member of the BCG Health Care practice. Mr. Brandt holds a B.S. in chemical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from Harvard University.
